Palworld recently received a brand new update for Steam with it now available to download on Xbox. While the new patch has largely been received very well, it has implemented a fix that is controversial amongst the community. Because of this, the Palworld developer has confirmed they are rolling back this fix from the last update very soon.

The last update came out on February 27th, and you can find the patch notes for 0.1.5.0 online. One of the fixes has fans screaming ‘no’ in despair, but most of the fixes are improvements fans have been clamoring for a while.

But, as alluded to, the update also added new issues to the game. Fortunately, Pocketpair is rolling back these Palworld fixes, and it should happen very soon according to the developer.

One of the fixes introduced in Palworld update 0.1.5.0 was ‘Always have a fixed passive on certain species’. Taking to the official Pocketpair Discord, this is something fans have reported saying the original concept was better than the fix.

Taking to Discord, one user cited examples of how the fix is worse than before. They said ‘Always having Glutton on Relaxaurus, or Coward on Cattiva, etc even on crossbred pals can be a big nerf’. They also said ‘Anubis is always forced to have Earth Emperor passive, or Blazamut with Fire Emperor’.

The issue is passives being forced. Basically, the complaint is that forced passives on ‘pals can bother with certain people’s playstyle or creative thoughts of combinations about making new combos’.

This is something fans have complained about, and Pocketpair has acknowledged it as an issue. Fortunately, the game’s community manager, Bucky_cm, has said that Pocketpair is rolling back this fix. The community manager says ‘It will take a day or two to deploy,’ which means it could arrive on February 28th or 29th at the earliest.

In other Palworld news, a fan has found a secret unused dungeon that you can build a base inside. There is an ongoing competition for fans to win a custom Palworld Xbox console and controller, and Pocketpair has good news for fans craving new content.

Palworld is available on Steam, along with Xbox and PC via Xbox Game Pass.
