- Once Human is expected to release on mobile on January 9th, 2025 – not September 26 2024, as per the App Store
- The Play Store release date is not confirmed but is expected to be the same
- The game will require 3.9GB of storage, but may require more to download further assets
Once Human has been a huge hit since its release in July, with players flocking to the free-to-play survival game to check it out. At the time of writing, there are more than 90,000 people currently playing it – a number that will only go up once it releases on mobile. Currently, Once Human is only available on PC, but developers Starry Studio confirmed a mobile version of the game is on the way for Android and iOS. Here’s everything you need to know.
When does Once Human release on mobile?
Once Human is expected to release on mobile on January 9th, 2025. This is longer to wait that we intially thought, as the original mobile date was slated as September 26, which was also reported on by other media. It’s worth saying this is not by any means confirmed and as such must be taken as window, rather than a locked-in date. As per the App Store, “this content may change without notice, and the final product may be different”.
There has been no news of the release date on the Play Store, however we expect the game will be launching on the same day, letting players try it out regardless of their operating system. The PC version of the game received a global release at 2pm PDT / 10pm BST, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the mobile version receives the same treatment. This is completely speculation, however, and we won’t know for sure until closer to the date itself.
Once Human expected mobile requirements
As for the requirements, Once Human’s Apple Store listing has a requirement of 3.9GB of storage space to download it. That being said, for such a big game, we wouldn’t be surprised if you’ll need much more space than that, with the game downloading further assets once you have the app itself installed. Naturally, this also may change for the Android version of the game.
Luckily, the game will remain free-to-play on mobiles, so all you need to do is ensure you’ve got a phone with enough storage that’s capable of running the game then you’ll be good to go when it does launch! If you’re new to the game, make sure to check out our Once Human tips and tricks.
