Throughout your Zenless Zone Zero playthrough, you may encounter missions that require you to finish combat within a specific time. Though most of them are easy enough to do, others, like ones that ask you to defeat three waves of enemies in under, say, two minutes and thirty seconds, can be challenging to accomplish. Luckily, picking the right set of characters in the game can make up for even the biggest skill issues, as several players on social media pointed out.

With Zenless Zone Zero’s growing fan base having recently helped it reach a whopping revenue milestone, you aren’t the only one having trouble completing these time-sensitive objectives. Just ask Reddit user Riverflowsuphillz, who, even with “maxed characters,” failed a time trial challenge after it took them eight minutes to beat a few minions. Of course, as other players pointed out, finishing a combat task took them that long due to one fatal flaw: their team didn’t have the right characters.

Or rather, the characters they picked—Koleda, Soukaku, and Billy—did not have any synergy at all. Now, if you’ve spent any time playing Zenless Zone Zero over the past few weeks, you may already be familiar with some of the factions in-game. There’s Belobog Industries, which is made up of Koleda, Ben, Anton, and Grace, as well as the Cunning Hares, consisting of Nicole, Nekomata, Billy, and Anby. Then, there’s also Victoria Housekeeping, which houses the powerful Ellen Joe, Lycaon, Alexandrina, and Corin.

There are also a couple of smaller groups, like Obol Squad’s lone Soldier 11 and Sons of Calydon’s Luciana and Piper. Now, these factions aren’t only in the game for cosmetic purposes. If two characters from the same organization are on your team, they can utilize a passive ability that significantly strengthens their impact, DPS, or decibel production. Naturally, these passives help tremendously in combat, especially if it’s time-sensitive.

A few ideal teams you can create include an all-Belobog team of Koleda, Ben, and Anton. Koleda’s Stun fighting style, paired with Ben’s Defense and Anton’s Attack, would make an ideal combo to demolish enemy mobs in seconds. If you prefer one built around Ellen, you can partner her up with Soukaku and Lycaon for another hard-hitting composition.

Overall, there are plenty of team combinations to try out in ZZZ. But if you want to have an even easier time playing through the game and finishing each mission, check out our pages on the best Ellen build and the best way to level up Inter-Knot rank fast in Zenless Zone Zero.
