With the recent release of New World Season 2 players are already dissecting every aspect of what Amazon’s MMO game has added. While the overall reaction to the Season has been positive so far, players are particularly happy with the boost in HP. The latest change to the game’s HP system now sees the removal of the Hale and Hearty buff in exchange for an overall 10% boost to health.

Taking to the New World Reddit players were quick to note their approval of the recent change with the slowed-down combat making it less effective to constantly reset in order to heal. Alongside this, players said the changes to HP also provide a counter to the game’s current burst meta as well as properly allow the game’s combat mechanics to shine given the slower combat as a result of increased HP.

One player noted that after speaking with a number of other fans they “believe these slightly higher HP values are more healthy for both PvP and PvE. Felt better in organized scrims, war and unorganized OPR and Arenas as well.” They continued, “The old 13k (200con) was good numbers a year ago but synchronized burst damage has gone up way too much after the Brimstone update.”

While the change to HP has been a topic of praise in particular, the entire Season is receiving a lot of love from New World players with one player saying, “I had zero expectation for this season and considered it waiting room for S3, but now I am sold. Very good changes. I can play and have fun with those and stopped caring what will be changed in S3. Good work AGS [Amazon Game Studios].”

While players a loving the new changes to New World, fans will also be looking for more information on Amazon Games Orange County Studio’s Lord of the Rings MMO after it was announced in May 2023.
