Amazon’s MMO New World is gearing up for an Autumnal seasonal event of its own to mark the start of Halloween, with Nightveil Hollow coming to the game later this week.
The Nightveil Hollow event kicks off tomorrow and runs through until mid-November, offering players some suitably spooky-themed costumes in the game’s store to dress up their characters, as well as a boss to fight and rewards to be earned by taking part. There’s plenty of haunted fun to be had in the event, so here’s all the details you need to know if you’re wanting to take part.
New World Nightveil Hollow event start date
The Nightveil Hollow event will kick off from Wednesday, October 18 and will last until Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
New World Nightveil Hollow event start time prediction
While an official time hasn’t been confirmed, given that the event includes daily freebies that reset at 5am local time daily, that’s when we expect the festivities to start. We’ll do our best to update this piece as and when we hear of an official downtime and start time, however – so watch this space.
New World Nightveil Hollow event costumes
The event will allow you to don some ghoulish costumes as part of the event. In order to obtain them, you can either get them from Town Centerpieces, or you can claim them as drops from returning world boss Baalphazu. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
- Captain Thorpe
- Adiana
- Anubian Reaver
- Lost Monarch
New World Nightveil Hollow event Trick or Treat
In the major towns and settlements, you’ll be able to hunt down hidden treat baskets around the area. These baskets contain a range of goodies, including Baalphazu armor pieces, 2 Nightveil Tokens (which can be claimed 3 times in any one day) or the new consumable Candy, which comes in four flavours.
New World Nightveil Hollow event World Boss
Finally, during the event you’ll also be able to fight the returning World Boss, Baalphazu, Marquis of Terror. He’s level 66 – so he won’t go down without a fight – but doing so will net you the possibility of some armour pieces (5 times daily), costumes and Ichor. You can trade in the last of these with Salvatore the Mad at any Cauldron, and doing so will finish the special Nightveil Hollow questline and some sweet rewards – namely the Nightveil Cauldron Cache. Each Ichor is equal to one cache, and includes the following items:
- 7-13 Nightveil Tokens
- 1 Random Nightveil Hallow weapon pattern
- Coin Bag (3 times daily)
- 1 White Gypsum
