Digital Extremes has released a new gameplay video for The Duviri Paradox, the upcoming expansion for Warframe.

The Duviri Paradox will add to the main game’s Cinematic Quest Line. It takes players to the planet of Duviri, and pits them against its tyrannical ruler, Dominus Thrax. But, turther complication comes by way of a time loop, which has players rebooting at the beginning, should they fail.

Check out the new gameplay video below:

The description reads:

“Play as an outlaw known as the Drifter in a new open world-based expansion to Warframe and fight to break free from Duviri’s endless daily cycle of death and rebirth. Complete a new cinematic Quest and meet intriguing characters new and old as you wrest control of Duviri from the clutches of the tyrant Dominus Thrax.

As you explore Duviri’s color-changing, mood driven landscapes, you’ll take on fearsome Dax Guards, solve puzzles and be rewarded with Decrees – upgrades that boost your Drifter’s capabilities for the duration of that day’s cycle. With the help of Teshin, the assistance of fellow Tenno, and your loyal flying Kaithe mount, you may be even able to challenge the fearsome Orowyrm itself.”

The Duviri Paradox is on its way to Warframe this winter, so brace yourself for that.

In other Warframe-related news, there was another expansion back in April. That one was the Angels of the Zariman update. And it added a new campaign.

Also, the game’s developers are making something new. Soulframe is a fantasy M.M.O.R.P.G., and it is about “nature and humanity colliding.” Because why wouldn’t you want a fantasy-themed spin-off?
