Valorant Episode 9 is right around the corner and news is starting to gather steam as new Agents and information are being leaked, showing players what to expect from the game over the coming weeks and months. Following a teaser about an upcoming Agent, it now looks like there could be a second in the pipeline and we have the first piece of information ahead of its official reveal.

@ValorINTEL took to X to reveal new information on the upcoming Valorant Agent ahead of its release along with the 9.04 update on Tuesday, August 27th saying “Our new Agent’s name is VYSE. Her role will be SENTINEL.”

This comes following a post by the official Valorant X account that showed a fake Korean news report, hinting at the next Agent to come to the game. It has already been announced that Episode 9 is set to be revealed on August 23rd, meaning we could also see the next Agent then.

The teaser video gives more information on the Agent, calling them “extremely dangerous” saying,

“Investigators remain on the scene of today´s event in Myeong-dong, Seoul,” the video’s dialogue says. “Who… or what..ever is behind the event should be considered extremely dangerous.”

Previous leaks have suggested that this Korean character will be an Initiator, so it is unclear whether this is the same Agent or whether there will be two new Agents coming to Valorant in the near future.

Ahead of the Episode 9 reveal, Valorant finally made its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X on July 26th, bringing Riot Games’ competitive shooter to console after many years of players hoping to see it expand its reach to more gamers.
