The latest Major Order has sent Helldivers 2 players back to fight the Automatons as they “split the Automaton forces in half at the Andromeda Sector.” This is done by cutting off the robot army at Aesir Pass and Charbal-VII before connecting the supply lines to Martale, Matar Bay, and Marfark. But, what is interesting is that both entry points to the Andromeda Sector lead to Sectors that have yet to be explored.
Currently, six Automaton-controlled Sectors can be explored as players liberate and defend planets from the robot army. These are the Trigon, Ymir, Andromeda, Hydra, Lacaille, and Valdis Sectors and can be identified by the red boundaries on the Galactic War map while the Terminids are marked by yellow. Every sector that has yet to be added to the game remains the blue/black space color.
The planet that directly connects to Aesir Pass in the supply line is Curia in the Marspira Sector, while Charbal-VII is connected to Mort in the Xzar Sector. Neither of these Sectors can be explored currently, but this is where the robot army will be coming from as they attack the Andromeda Sector. So, could these be where we take the fight next?
While nothing has been confirmed by Arrowhead Game Studios, it is fair to assume that by the end of the Helldivers 2 lifecycle, the entirety of the Galactic War map will be playable, which consists of a total of 53 Sectors, of which only 11 are currently playable. This means that the developers have only begun to scratch the surface when it comes to the content that will be coming to the game over the next few years. Over the past month, we have seen the addition of the X-45 and Gacrux jungle planets following the release of the Viper Commandos Warbond.
Whether this Major Order results in new planets to explore remains to be seen, but for now we have four planets to liberate, so it is time to get Helldiving. For the Terminid players that may bypass fighting the robots, changing your loadout will be needed for success due to the meta Breaker Shotgun not being viable for bots.
