Several aspects of the game are seeing a revamp this year. In this article, we will be highlighting brand-new features available in the game.

FM23: The Squad Planner

This is a brand-new feature in FM 23. The squad planner is a squad editor in the game that allows you to create fantasy teams based on what you expect your squad to look like. You have three squad planners; the current season, the next season, and the season after.

In the squad planner, you can arrange your players according to how well they fit into your preset tactic. You can bring in players from your Shortlist, Seniors squad, Under 23, and Under 18 squad to see how they compare with other squad members and how the player would fit into your desired setup and plans.

FM23: Revamped Recruitment

Recruitment is seeing a revamp in Football Manager 2023. Scouts are more involved in your recruitment process.

When you set a scouting focus around the kind of player you want to sign, your scouts will go to work whittling down an initially expansive list until a handful of players have been extensively scouted. You can also view a list of near matches that shows players that missed the cut by a few parameters.

FM23: Match AI and Animation

Football Manager is more animated than ever in this year’s edition. Manager behaviours are simulated based on observed behaviour from their real-life counterparts. Therefore, you will encounter similar formations and strategies in-game, making the game more believable and realistic.

FM23: Official Uefa club competition licences

Football manager 2023 is licenced to make the game feel as realistic as possible. The game has over 600 licenced clubs and 50 competitions, including all UEFA club competitions. Managers will experience that feeling of cup glory with life-like elements like walkouts and trophy lifts.

In-game licences are more in keeping with the game based on the competition you play, sleeve patches change, and you even get winner sleeve patches as reigning champions.

FM23: Supporter Confidence

Like in real life, your fan base matters and catering to them in the game is essential. Depending on how important supporter confidence is to your board, how pleased club supporters are with you may determine whether you keep your job or not.

FM23: Dynamic manager timelines

This feature highlights your journey in the game by showing you significant milestones and achievements. It displays trophies and achievements and player milestones like “Most club goals”, “Youngest goal scorer” and other more subjective achievements like signing bargain players and trashing club rivals.
