It’s looking likely that a new Crash Bandicoot game could be revealed at this year’s Game Awards ceremony, after hints on promotional material for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

To mark the launch of Crash 4 coming to Steam, several influencers were sent a promotional pizza box, including Canadian YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh. (As spotted by Games Radar.)

The pizza box included a bunch of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time goodies, all with the purpose of announcing that the 2020 latest entry in the series is coming to Steam on October 18, following a couple of years of Battle.net exclusivity on PC.

However, the box also came with an intriguing additional note – with one side of the box stating “Hungry for more? Try our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08.”

Smart fans have noted that Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards show will take place on December 8 this year, which is also the same as the 12.08 when written in the US date format.

So logically, most fans are putting two and two together, and expecting an announcement of some kind of a new Crash Bandicoot project at the event.

It wouldn’t be the first time – as Crash Bandicoot has been a major presence at The Game Awards show in previous years, including revealing Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled in 2018.

Rumours of a new Crash Bandicoot game also started circulating in June of this year, with the caveat that it could be a four-player brawler in the style of MultiVersus.

Hopefully, then, we’ll hear more at the Game Awards at the end of the year. For now, you can check out our review of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time ahead of its Steam release over here.
