The upcoming MW3 campaign is set to include a variety of new goodies for players to get their hands on and one of the most drastic and welcome changes that’s arriving with the upcoming series entry is the addition of Open Combat Missions. This new innovation that will be part of the next game’s main story line will “emphasize player choice with numerous additional paths and choices to complete objectives.”

With the Modern Warfare 3 character list and the MW3 Makarov reveal having already given fans a vague idea of what they can expect with the new campaign, the introduction of Open Combat Missions should excite the community even more since it will allow them to approach each task in their own unique way. This new feature has been “built to react to different playstyles – whether taking a stealthy run or run and gun approach,” meaning you can experiment with different methods of finishing your objectives.

No matter the combat choices you make, though, every road you take in your FPS adventure only leads to one destination: a climactic battle with infamous series antagonist Vladimir Makarov. It is worth keeping in mind, though, that the way each player deals with the notorious villain may vary as the Open Combat Missions feature gives fans different ways of accomplishing various scenarios, which could include the supposed battle at the end of the campaign.

That said, Open Combat Missions along with the rest of the exciting new elements that are arriving with the game will surely hype up the loyal community even more ahead of time.
