MW2 has been plagued with its fair share of frustrating bugs ever since it was first launched and its popular DMZ extraction mode is sadly suffering a similar fate. This time around, players have discovered a squad fill glitch that leaves them stranded and alone when playing in both Ground War and Invasion modes.
With several crashing issues and the broken report system still present within the game, people are starting to become increasingly frustrated with the difficulties that they’ve constantly been experiencing. Unfortunately, this recently discovered MW2 DMZ squad fill bug hasn’t helped the latest CoD installment’s reputation as this is just further evidence of its perpetually flawed state.
In order to bring more attention to this specific glitch, one particularly disappointed fan has now gone on Reddit to share how they initially came across it. According to a post from u/AtlasNotFat, they’ve found that if they leave “squad fill off in the DMZ menu,” they “won’t spawn in with squad members on either Ground War or Invasion.”
This has apparently been a problem since DMZ’s launch in 2022, and yet players have only discovered its presence within the game recently. Because of this, one commenter jokingly pointed out that they’re over halfway through the game’s life cycle, but they’re “nowhere near close to discovering all its faults and design flaws.”
Even worse is the fact that the developers are still yet to fix, or even acknowledge this particular issue as they are yet to mention this particular glitch in any of their Trello boards or patch notes. Sadly, the MW2 DMZ squad fill bug along with many other ongoing issues are unlikely to get fixed as the 2023 CoD installment is set to be released soon. Hopefully though, Infinity Ward can find the time to address these problems before their player base eventually moves over to the new game.
