Modern Warfare 2 has notoriously been plagued with several bugs and glitches since it was first launched. AMD Vega GPU users, however, have had a particularly rough time as they’ve often been experiencing constant crashing issues since the latest chapter update was released.
This specific problem has been present within the game for a few weeks now as evidenced by a previous Twitter post from Beenox, the developers responsible for porting MW2 to PC. In it, they noted that they were “investigating a crash on boot affecting AMD VEGA users on WZ2 and MWII,” and that their team was “actively working to get it fixed.” Unfortunately, it seems like the error still hasn’t been resolved at the time of writing as numerous players are reportedly still suffering its effects.
In an effort to bring more attention to the issue, one desperate Reddit user came up with a brilliant plan that was sure to grab the developer’s attention. Based on a post created by the aforementioned Redditor, their innovative scheme involved sending a pizza to the Beenox headquarters with a message that simply said “Help Vega Please.”
Naturally, other “Vegabros” showed solidarity with their comrade with one commenter even saying that they “truly admired” the post creator’s tenacity. Another responder, however, was much more pessimistic as they believe that the company would have turned it away immediately “unless their security protocols are as lacking as their game stability.”
Sadly, this daring Redditor’s effort to bring about change to Modern Warfare 2 may indeed have been ignored as the crashing issues for AMD Vega GPU users are still yet to be addressed. But with that said, their creative effort may still end up helping their cause in the long run as this will surely bring more attention to the problem at hand.
