A Mr. Robot game is now available for Android and iOS. It costs £2.29 on iOS/ £2.79 on Android and is set in the same world as the popular hacking TV show. Developed by Night School Studio (who made the excellent Oxenfree) in collaboration with Telltale (The Walking Dead, Batman: The Telltale Series), Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltratiOn.apk is a neat interactive messaging app game.

You get hold of a phone that belongs to Darlene, one of the hackers from the show, around the time period of the end of Season 1. She and a group of hackers known as fsociety have been working to bring down an enormous tech company, E-Corp, and now you’re involved.

Rather than follow the usual Telltale adventure game format, Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltratiOn has more in common with games like Lifeline and movie spin-off, The Martian: Bring Him Home. You receive in-game messages over the course of about a week, letting you interact with the show’s characters and make choices.

Oxenfree, a more traditional adventure game with some great natural dialogue and a supernatural storyline, is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
