A previously-leaked character supposedly on the way as part of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1’s DLC may have just been confirmed by an unusual source.

The information comes from the official Tiktok for Amazon TV show The Boys, after an in-universe account for the fictional Voight International Studios responded to a fan in the comments of the video promoting the series’ upcoming crossover with Call of Duty. The excited fan mentioned ‘COD AND POSSIBLY MK?” to which the account posting the video responded “MK confirmed” with the flex emoji.

Previously, the character of Homelander from the series had been spotted on an Amazon Italy listing for Mortal Kombat 1 shortly after it was announced. This listing claimed that a number of guest fighters would be part of the DLC of the latest installment including The Boys as well as another Amazon show – Omni Man from animated series Invincible – though the listing was shortly removed not long after. Several months later, and neither Warner Bros, nor NetherRealm have confirmed or denied whether the leak was accurate, so this is the most ‘official’ sign we’ve had so far. Of course, it still doesn’t guarantee anything, so still keep hold of your salt for now.

In fact, NetherRealm has still been busy revealing who’ll make it onto the base Mortal Kombat 1 character list, slowly revealing names such as Smoke and Rain who’ve recently been confirmed for the game. The new instalment will also include a number of Kameo fighters, secondary characters that’ll back you up in a fight and include some classic throwbacks.

We’ll update should an official announcement come from WB. In the meantime, the Mortal Kombat 1 release date is set for September 16, 2023. If you can’t wait that long, The Boys will be a part of MW2 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded set to start later this week.
