Monster Hunter's latest crossover event, which sees The Witcher hero Geralt of Rivia making his way into Capcom's beastly adventurer, will arrive via a free update on February 8 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The crossover will involve a unique quests, and Capcom's worked closely with CD Projekt Red to ensure things stay as true to the source material as possible. The best bit? Geralt will receive all-new dialogue provided by his original voice actor, and is a playable character.

Capcom isn't saying much else right now, although it's at least good to know when the event will be kicking off.

Geralt is a pretty popular bloke right now. Not only did The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sell truck loads of copies, but he also rocked up in last year's SoulCalibur VI as a guest character, which as I noted in my review, was a great success.

Monster Hunter World launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January last year, and became Capcom's fastest-selling video game of all time.
