Capcom has revealed that the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak free title update 5 is now available for those that have already purchased the expansion on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re playing the DLC on either PlayStation or Xbox, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until Summer 2023 for more information on the update’s console release.

The latest patch has apparently introduced two Elder Dragons in Amatsu and Risen Shagaru Magala to wreak havoc on Kamura Village. But aside from these creatures being added to the Monster Hunter Rise monsters list, several new features have also been included. This includes an increase in the Anomaly Investigations level cap, new event quests, additional paid DLC in the form of cosmetics, and more.

Out of all the features previously listed, though, Amatsu and Risen Shagaru Magala are obviously the biggest additions. The former will immediately be available upon reaching MR10, while the latter can be unlocked at MR180.

The new level cap for Anomaly Investigations is now reportedly set at level 300, meaning there’ll be more rewards in store for you if you can defeat the strong monsters they’re locked behind. On the other hand, the new Event Quests offer a wide array of valuable rewards to those that are able to complete them. This includes items such as the Buff Body Layered Armor, and the Bloodmalice Layered Armor.

Although Capcom has described the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak free title update 5 as the “thrilling climax to the game’s story,” its trailer revealed that there will apparently be another bonus update in the future that will bring in a variant monster to the game. However, once this patch is released, it may be the last content addition that the developers introduce to this installment.

With this new update now available for Nintendo Switch players, we suggest learning about how to capture monsters in Monster Hunter Rise as it will allow you to earn more rewards at the end of hunts. We also recommend reading our how to change appearance guide so you can immediately equip the new cosmetic rewards that you earn.
