Modern Warfare 2 developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software have finally provided a confirmed launch window for the highly anticipated Season 5 of the current CoD installment. Naturally, the announcement also came with a highly intriguing piece of key art that confirmed the return of a fan-favorite character from the campaign in Graves as well as the addition of a classic MW2 2009 weapon in the FAMAS.

Now, with the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 release date already fast approaching, Activison and the development teams have predictably begun ramping up their marketing efforts for the next season with the new key art after the disastrous Season 4 Reloaded update. This is further reinforced by the fact that the game’s publisher has finally decided to release one of the most requested operators since the game’s launch after Graves was heavily featured in the current series entry’s campaign.

Of course, Graves will more than likely be available as part of a bundle that you can either purchase through the in-game store or through the seasonal battle pass. However, the latter option may be the more practical one as the previously mentioned key art also contained another crucial tidbit that may be included with the seasonal microtransaction, which hardcore FPS fans will surely remember – the classic FAMAS from Modern Warfare 2 2009.

This uniquely designed Assault Rifle had previously been featured in Modern Warfare 2019 so many within the fan base had initially been curious as to why it hadn’t been included with Modern Warfare 2 2022. Now that it’s returning to the game’s arsenal, however, this should give fans even more incentive to play the current installment after many had become disillusioned with it following several underwhelming updates.

As always, you can check out the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 key art for yourself through Activision’s official Twitter post.
