Having the best ranked loadouts in Warzone 2 in your arsenal is necessary in order to rise through each Skill Tier and Division within the competitive battle royale mode. Most of the weapons we’ve listed with our suggested builds are the typical meta weapons that have long been dominating the casual scene, meaning these will naturally be effective in ranked play as well.

New seasons always come with new exciting features. So before we delve into the best ranked loadouts in season 6, here are the new MW2 and Warzone Season 6 Operator list as well as maps list to prepare yourself with your favourite skin and battle in your preferred map choice. Before we dive in, you might want to check out the best BAS-B loadout in MW3 beta which is currently ongoing.

Best ranked loadouts in Warzone 2 Season 6

The primary weapons we’re recommending are the ones that have often been part of Modern Warfare 2’s ever-changing meta. This includes the popular Cronen Squall, the powerful FJX Imperium, and the classic M4. So now that we’ve given you a preview of what you can expect, let’s get right into it.

Warzone 2 ISO Hemlock ranked loadout

A screenshot of the iso grenade lock in one of the top-ranked loadouts for Warzone 2.

Although the ISO Hemlock received heavy nerfs during the beginning of Season 3 and the midseason update, it continues to be one of the most used weapons within the battle royale because of its fast TTK. Even without the proper accessories, this gun still packs a punch, which is why players still haven’t removed it from their gun lockers. However, we’re here to provide our own attachment recommendations so you can have an even easier time getting kills and victories.

Attachments:

  • Muzzle – Harbinger D20
  • Barrel – Fielder-T50
  • Underbarrel – FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic – Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine – 45 Round Mag

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife/Drill Charge

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Scavenger/Bomb Squad

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

Infinity Ward and Raven Software heavily decreased the damage that the ISO Hemlock deals with the release of the Season 3 Reloaded patch. However, the venomous weapon just refuses to die as it continues to be at the top of everyone’s Modern Warfare 2 weapon tier list.

Warzone 2 Cronen Squall ranked loadout

The Cronen Squall battle rifle, which was introduced during the beginning of Season 3, is further proof that newly released weapons in MW2 are often overpowered. Although this weapon is labeled as a slow-shooting battle rifle, the typical weakness of this category becomes moot due to its full-auto fire mode setting that turns it into an unfair killing machine. Here are the attachments we suggest equipping with it:

Attachments:

  • Muzzle – Sakin Tread-40
  • Barrel – HR6.8 Barrel
  • Underbarrel – FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic – Aim OP-V4
  • Magazine – 50 Round Drum

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife/Drill Charge

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Bomb Squad

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

The Cronen Squall remains one of the most used weapons in Warzone 2 for a reason and we don’t expect that to change in ranked. However, we do recommend pairing it with another equally effective secondary weapon such as the Vaznev-9K and Lachmann Sub.

Warzone 2 FJX Imperium ranked loadout

A screenshot of a weapon in Call of Duty Black Ops 2, showcasing one of the best loadouts for ranked matches.

The FJX Imperium, also known to series veterans as the CheyTac Intervention sniper rifle, is a long-ranged messenger of death that can quickly bring other players to their knees. The only drawback to this classic firearm is that it can only carry five rounds at a time, which means you’ll need to pair it with a fast-firing secondary weapon like the Vaznev-9K or the Lachmann Sub. Check out the attachments we recommend equipping with it below.

Attachments:

  • Muzzle – Nilsound 90
  • Barrel – Tac-Command 19″
  • Laser – VLK LZR 7mW
  • Ammunition – .408 Explosive
  • Stock – FJX Lux-7

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Frag Grenade

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Tactical Sprint

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

The FJX Imperium can typically down opponents in one shot so you often won’t need to worry about having to readjust your aim after you pull the trigger. However, engaging in a close-range gunfight is almost inevitable, which is why you’ll also need to equip some of the secondary weapons on our list.

Warzone 2 M4 ranked loadout

A man armed with a gun navigates through a tunnel.

The M4 assault rifle received a slight buff as part of Season 3 Reloaded’s release while the overpowered ISO Hemlock got several nerfs instead. So even though the former still has a relatively low damage output compared to the latter, it becomes a much more reliable and viable option now than ever before. These are the attachments we recommend equipping with it:

Attachments:

  • Barrel – Hightower 20″ Barrel
  • Underbarrel – FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic – Aim OP-V4
  • Muzzle – Harbinger D20
  • Magazine – 60 Round Mag

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife/Drill Charge

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Bomb Squad/Tactical Sprint

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

The ‘old reliable’ is a staple in both multiplayer and Warzone 2 because it has often been one of the easiest to use and relatively powerful weapons in the game.

Best Warzone 2 Ranked close-range weapon loadouts

Primary firearms are often the stars of Warzone 2 loadouts, but a secondary weapon is the icing on the cake that completes a player’s build. The loadouts we’ll be listing will naturally include ever-present fan-favorites such as the Vaznev-9K and Lachmann Sub so keep reading on to find out our recommended attachments for each one below.

Warzone 2 Vaznev-9K ranked loadout

A screenshot of the best ranked loadouts in Warzone 2 featuring a powerful weapon.

The Vaznev-9K SMG continues to be a fan-favorite in both multiplayer and battle royale due to its decent damage, fast rate of fire, and light weight that allows you to run circles around your enemies. When placed in the right hands, this compact firearm is all you’ll need to take over a ranked lobby. These are the attachments we suggest pairing with it:

Attachments:

  • Muzzle – Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider
  • Stock – Otrezat Stock
  • Laser – FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Ammunition – 9MM Overpressured +P
  • Magazine – 45 Round Mag

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife/Drill Charge

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Double Time/Bomb Squad

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

Naturally, we recommend pairing this with a high-power primary weapon, like the Cronen Squall or even the FJX Imperium. Once you have it equipped, though, you’ll have a much easier time moving around and fragging out.

Warzone 2 Lachmann Sub ranked loadout

The Lachmann Sub, though popular, has become infamous within the community for its erratic recoil pattern. However, the attachments we’ve listed below will be minimizing this gun’s kickback so you can have an easier time downing opponents.

Attachments:

  • Muzzle – Lacerta Compensator
  • Underbarrel – Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Stock – LM Stockless Mod
  • Rear Grip – Lachmann TCG-10
  • Magazine – 40 Round Mag

Lethal and Tactical:

  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife/Drill Charge

Base Perks:

  • Overkill
  • Double Time/Bomb Squad

Bonus Perk:

  • Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk:

  • High Alert

If you’re tired of using the same old Vaznev-9K, then the Lachmann Sub is a great alternative. All the attachments we’ve listed aside from the magazine improves this weapon’s recoil control so you won’t have any trouble aiming at enemies.
