Several Modern Warfare 2 players have reportedly been receiving post-match surveys on a bevy of different in-game features including TTK (Time-To-Kill) and overall match enjoyability. Although Activision’s exact reasons for handing out these surveys remains unclear, some are speculating that this may be in order to improve the Call of Duty 2023 experience as much as possible ahead of its impending, end-of-year release.

Based on a Reddit post by a user named yungmiaw, it appears they received this particular survey after completing a match since the question it posed was the following: “Based on the match you just played, what do you think of the amount of time it takes to kill an enemy (TTK or Time-To-Kill) when engaged in a fight?” Afterwards, the questionnaire presented yungmiaw with five options, including “Far Too Fast,” “Slightly Too Fast,” “Just Right,” “Slightly Too Slow,” and “Far Too Slow.”

A commenter named carljohan1808 then immediately pointed out that “[the developers] are probably using this data for mw3 2023 and not for mw2 2022,” since the current CoD installment’s life span is nearing its end. TheSplicerGuy then responded optimstically to carljohan1808’s previous statement by saying: “I’m fine with that, this is exactly how you make a good game, from feedback from the community.” However, they do note that “no matter what [the developers] do, not everyone will be happy. Can’t please everyone.”

Of course, these reactions are still merely speculation for the time being as Activison hasn’t actually confirmed whether player feedback is being collected for the upcoming entry. But with Call of Duty 2023 (reportedly named Modern Warfare 3) apparently set to make its way to gaming platforms in early November, the idea that these Modern Warfare 2 surveys are being used to improve the next game may not be too far-fetched.
