With Season 4 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone kicking off players have once again come together to collectively mourn the removal of the Shipment 24/7 playlist. Hopefully, you managed to grind all your camos and challenges before the new season because if not you’ll now be forced to test your skills on other maps.

The Modern Warfare 2 Reddit has been busy reacting to the removal with many saddened by the news with one user saying, “I always take shipment for granted until it leaves the playlist.” A sense of camaraderie was shared among players as another user by the name of alanpsk comforted the initial commenter saying, “You and me buddy.”

Other players welcomed the removal of Shipment for the time being as users like eric549 who was deep into tackling some camos seemed happy to get a chance to try something new. They said, “Lmao I was really chipping away at the camo grind. But I am very glad to have a break from it and enjoy some new stuff.”

While Season 5 has welcomed the addition of new small maps such as Showdown players were quick to note that it simply wasn’t small enough to compete with Shipment. One user even pointed out that “Kunstenaar District is also pretty small” and noted that they’re “both great maps.” However, it was user CapnGnobby that perfectly encapsulated player’s love for Shipment by simply replying, “Great maps but not shipment.”

It seems every season since MW2’s launch has been a constant dance between the developers removing and bringing back Shipment. The transient nature of fan-favourite maps, weapons and gamemodes in the game has been a common occurrence, and may be contributing to a negative sentiment against the game from its own community.

While Shipment has been removed from Modern Warfare 2 there are plenty of things that have been added including some buffs and nerfs to the Cronen Squall and FTAC Siege. Alongside that, some players have also been wishing that Modern Warfare 2 “was like Fortnite” as the latest batch of bundles underwhelms.
