Infinity Ward is finally giving players what they want as the latest MW2 playlist update is bringing back multiple beloved game modes. This includes reintroductions of the popular 10v10 match type as well as the notoriously action-packed 24/7 Shipment offering.

The good news came as part of Infinity Ward’s latest weekly multiplayer playlist update. Aside from the previously mentioned selections, the developers also consolidated all of the available Party Modes into one. This means players can now enjoy casual modes such as One in the Chamber, Infected, and Gun Game seamlessly without having to leave a lobby.

The return of these match types has obviously been welcomed with open arms by the community. Throughout the past few weeks, many had been complaining about Infinity Ward and Raven Software’s decision to remove some of the more popular game modes so this is a nice change of pace for a large number of frustrated players.

Users on Reddit also finally have something to celebrate since most of the recent in-game trends had often been unfavorable for fans. Commenters under a particular post are all unanimously celebrating this playlist update as they can now enjoy MW2 once again. However, some still feel the need to be cautious as Infinity Ward has notoriously taken features away in the past no matter how well-liked they were.

This is definitely a small step in the right direction for the embattled developers who had been making some wildly unpopular decisions recently. Hopefully, they do decide to keep these game modes permanently this time around. But, sadly, the developers unpredictability may make this a short-lived celebration for the community.
