Modern Warfare 2 players have now seemingly found an alternative to the notorious ‘Roze’ skin in the form of a newly introduced cosmetic bundle. Apparently, the new, all-black superhero-themed outfit is being brought into the latest CoD installment as part of its The Boys collaboration during Season 4 Reloaded. But before we get into what this alleged new skin is, an introduction to its history may be necessary for those unfamiliar with its past.

The infamous skin in question is Roze’s ‘Rook’ outfit, which was first introduced as the Tier 100 battle pass reward back in Season 5 of the 2019 Modern Warfare entry. Of course, most cosmetic prizes earned through the BP often don’t give players the ability to drastically change the outcome of a match. However, this specific costume did the complete opposite as its pitch-dark design gave those that used it an unfair visual advantage that made them invisible in areas devoid of light.

With this in mind, if you’ve been looking forward to the arrival of Modern Warfare 2’s The Boys crossover along with its themed bundles, then you’ll surely already have an idea of what the new all-black Roze skin alternative is going to be. Black Noir, the powerful and stealthy member of The Seven, will have a show-accurate costume included with his bundle, which means those that purchase it in the game will essentially be able to skulk through dark areas freely on any map they’re playing on.

Over on the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit, some players have already started calling this skin out ahead of time as a user named TheDeadlyAvenger simply said that this is “the Noirest of Noir ‘Roze’ skins.” Further down the thread, Redditor NickyGi ended up noting that “this is even worse than [the] Roze skin,” while ezfunperson26 said: “Calling it now: [Activision will] sell the skin for two weeks, baiting people into buying it, then hotfixing it a few weeks later to make it more visible.”

Unfortunately, ezfunperson26’s theory may just end up being the outcome as players will often try their best to gain an unfair advantage over the competition.
