Metal Gear Solid fans finally got some clarification on what platforms the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 would be coming to, and they’re ecstatic. The collection is set to release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC on October 24, 2023.

The collection was originally announced at the PlayStation showcase earlier this year and fans were left a little confused as the game only noted it was making its way to, “the latest platforms.” This at the time didn’t reveal much as fans were left wondering did this include PC, Nintendo Switch or even Xbox.

However, with the confirmation of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 coming to all of the above-mentioned platforms, fans have been taking to Reddit to share their excitement. Highly anticipating playing the series on PC, nicbou0321 said, “I’m so f***ing hyped to finally play the whole MGS series on pc. I was raised with my dad playing snake eater on the PS2. Can’t wait to see this beautiful remaster. We are blessed with the MGS remasters finally.”

Fans of the series have notably been happy about some of the classic Metal Gear games making their way to more modern hardware. Many have already been speculating what Vol. 2 might have in store for players, with user twinklyfoot saying, “I’m thinking Vol.2 is MGO, MGPW, MGRR, Acid 1 & 2, Ghost Babel and potentially 4. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I genuinely believe there is a chance they get 4 off the PS3. I remember that Konami producer saying they did get it running on a 360 so I don’t think it’s impossible.”

A number of great games were announced at yesterday’s Nintendo Direct including, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the Super Mario RPG remake, and Detective Pikachu Returns. However, there were some notable exceptions so we’ve put together a list of 7 games missing from the June 2023 Nintendo Direct.
