The co-development studio behind Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake is opening a new Korean studio for future collaborations. An external developer that supports work across countless AAA games, Virtuos has had a hand in a number of massive titles.

Most recently known for Cyberpunk 2077, Metal Gear Solid Delta and Stellar Blade the support studio is opening a brand-new studio to continue its huge swathe of worldwide game development.

Announced in a recent press release, the secret weapon of many AAA games announced its new studio is opening in Seoul. After over a decade-and-a-half of working on Korean games alongside other developers, Virtuos Seoul has been founded to continue this longstanding relationship.

“Since 2009, Virtuos has been partnering with over half of the top 10 Korean game studios, contributing to critically acclaimed projects such as Crossfire, Dave the Diver, PUBG, and Stellar Blade,” the developer announced. “Virtuos Seoul will enhance the delivery of creative and design capabilities, leading the liaison between Korean clients and Virtuos’ game development studios worldwide.”

While Virtuos isn’t the main developer of AAA games like Metal Gear Solid Delta or Stellar Blade, it’s involved in loads of your favourite games. With support studios responsible for tonnes of work across countless games, it’s also important that they get the limelight every now and again.

The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date is currently set for launch on August 28, 2025 for PC, Xbox Series and PS5 platforms. A full remake of the brilliant 2004 PlayStation 2 original—which can also be played in the now fixed Master Collection—the revised title is an extremely faithful return to the Hideo Kojima masterpiece.
