LucasArts has announced Star Wars 1313, a brand new “mature” Star Wars game set in the “most dangerous place in the Star Wars galaxy”, Level 1313.

The third-person action-adventure game pits players in the role of a bounty hunter navigating through the criminal underworld of Level 1313, a vast subterranean metropolis beneath the surface of Coruscant.

“Epic action adventure gameplay” is promised, along with “awe-inspiring cinematic sequences” and “exotic weaponry and gadgets” for the player to get to grips with.

The game is being developed in collaboration with talent from Lucasfilm, too, including Industrial Light & Magic, Skywalker Sound and Lucasfilm Animation Ltd, and incorporates full body performance capture to deliver a “completely immersive experience”.

“Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we’ve always known existed, but never had a chance to visit,” said LucasArts president Paul Meegan.

Platforms and a release date are still to be confirmed.

More on Star Wars 1313 is expected to be shown during E3 next week. You can keep up to date with all the latest news from the show over at our E3 hub.
