Nintendo’s announced a free limited-time First Kick demo for upcoming sports title Mario Strikers: Battle League Football.

Anyone with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership can try out the game’s online multiplayer next weekend. There’ll be six one hour sessions taking place across both Saturday June 4 and Sunday, June 5. Players will be able to play as many sessions as they can squeeze in those one-hour windows. You’ll be able to go online solo, or recruit one friend to team up with locally on the same console.

The sessions will take place at the following times, and while the early ones aren’t too UK friendly, the others should see you right for both an afternoon and evening kickabout.

Saturday June 4

  • 04:00 – 05:00 (BST)
  • 12:00 – 13:00 (BST)
  • 20:00 – 21:00 (BST)

Sunday June 5

  • 04:00 – 05:00 (BST)
  • 12:00 – 13:00 (BST)
  • 20:00 – 21:00 (BST)

Anyone who laces up their boots for the trial will get 100 Platinum points as a thank you. You can also download the demo via the Nintendo eShop right now, and play the game’s tutorial to get up to speed before the whistle blows for the first First Kick sessions.

Meanwhile, the full Mario Strikers: Battle League Football game will arrive on the Nintendo Switch a little over a week later, on June 10. Nintendo has also confirmed there’ll be free post-launch updates, including new characters. Check out the game’s most recent trailer below.
