Although several new features were revealed with its latest trailer, a few players can’t help but comment on the gameplay and the world’s similarity to its predecessor. Because of this, numerous pessimistic onlookers are labeling the upcoming sequel as a DLC instead of a standalone title.

This constant wave of negativity has even prompted other community members to chime in with their own thoughts on the ongoing discourse through Reddit. Some are simply sick of seeing these ‘doomsayers’ constantly spreading bad news throughout the fan base. Others are even surprised at the large amount of people that are worried since this seems to indicate that there isn’t a lot of faith in the team behind the modern Zelda entries.

Fortunately, a few optimistic gamers are attempting to ease player worries by saying that a few of the in-game elements that have been revealed, such as Link’s new powers, will surely make it an entirely unique title. There are also completely new areas to explore like the floating Sky Islands, which should make TotK’s world even more breathtaking than before.
