The Nintendo Switch remains one of the most beloved consoles of the current generation, which is why fans of 2K Sports’ wrestling franchise are now asking if WWE 2K23 will be available on the popular handheld system.

To help players out with this dilemma, we’ll be taking a look at its playability on the Japanese gaming giants platform. We’ll also be providing any other pertinent information that we may have so gamers can be prepared ahead of its release.

Will WWE 2K23 be on the Switch?

No, WWE 2K23 will not be playable on the Switch much like most of the previous installments before it. 2K Sports’ wrestling franchise has often been excluded from the beloved handheld console’s catalog and it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change any time soon.

Unfortunately, it also won’t receive a day one launch on Game Pass. This means those that are eager to play the game will only be able to do so on other consoles, which include the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC. Keep in mind, though, that if you want to play online, you will have to be subscribed to either PlayStation Plus or Game Pass Ultimate. PC users will fortunately not have to be subscribed to any service to make use of the game’s online functionality.

It’s no surprise that WWE 2K23 wasn’t launched for the Switch as sports titles – apart from the NBA 2K series – aren’t particularly popular on the handheld console. With that said, it may still be ported at some point in the future if there is enough demand for the game. However, recent launch strategies indicate that it’s unlikely to happen as the last series installment that made an appearance on it was WWE 2K18.
