As the countdown clocks within The Continental hotel move ever closer to the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, fans worldwide have been anxiously wondering “Is John Wick: Chapter 4 the last one?”.

And it’s a fair question, given that the first three chapters of this part of John’s life have seen him lose his wife, his dog, his home, and his status as an assassin working under “The High Table”, making him a fugitive, hunted by almost every assassin in the world still working for “The Table”.

Hell, Chapter 3 – Parabellum, saw John betrayed by his old friend and ally, Winston (Ian McShane), who shot John atop the New York City Continental hotel, sending John plummeting dozens of feet to his almost death on the cold streets below. Were it not for the timely intervention of The Tick Tock Man (Jason Mantzoukas), one of the many assassins who pose as the homeless and comprise the army of the formidable Bowery King (Lawrence Fishburne).

Broken, bloodied, and near death, The Bowery King asks John a very simple question. A question that carries with it an unspoken promise of bloody revenge against those who’ve made the mistake of crossing them both, “Are you pissed off John?”. To which our hero simply replies “Yeah.”

Is this really the last time we’re going to see John Wick?

With the trailers for Chapter 4 teasing a series of even more epic confrontations for Mr Wick as he battles to win his freedom either through death or through becoming the very thing he has fought so hard against up till now, a member of “The High Table”.

The one thing we do know is that, whatever the outcome of this chapter of John’s story, Keanu Reeves will be seen again as John Wick in the upcoming Wick universe spin-off movie, Ballerina, starring Ana De Armas.

Additionally, it has been confirmed previously that there are plans for a fifth John Wick movie, with the original intention to film Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 back to back. But, unfortunately, due to the onset of the Covid-19 virus globally and the safety restrictions required in order to allow production to take place. The decision was made by director, Chad Stahelski, and Lionsgate Studios, to focus on making Chapter 4, with the intention that should it be as successful as the previous chapters, they would move ahead with production of Chapter 5.

So, while it is in no way a certainty at this present moment, there are certainly plans for at least one more chapter in John’s story, with Stahelski, remaining adamant that if Lionsgate give approval for another movie, then he will be back along with his key cast and crew to make the movie.
