Infinity Ward not fazed by Battlefield 4’s move to 60FPS

A senior animator at Infinity Ward has stated that the studio isn’t fazed by its rival’s moves to 60FPS.

Battlefield 4 and the newly-revealed Halo are both going to offer gamers 60FPS experiences, but Chance Glasco, senior animator at Infinity Ward, feels that’s how it should always have been.

“We’ve always felt that was the standard. It doesnt really change how we think. It’s good for their games. It’s going to make them feel more fluid. It’s always been our standard and we’re going to keep it.”

One of the most important trends in terms of the next-generation seems to be the move to 60FPS, especially where shooters are concerned. How much of a difference it will actually be made across the board is yet to be seen, but how much of an impact do you think it will have?
