The Finals is an exceptional multiplayer shooter and the game is set to get even bigger and better. The developer has been teasing a new game mode, and now we know it is officially Attack and Defend. Here you will discover how to watch The Finals new Attack and Defend game mode reveal live today so you can see it in action before it comes out.

Embark explained that there was no update last week because they were working on delivering ‘Something very cool’. That ‘very cool’ tease now appears to be Attack and Defend. According a playtest it includes eliminations and it will be part of patch 2.6.0 which will also include announced incoming nerfs that have massively divided fans.

Patch 2.6.0 is scheduled to arrive this week, meaning we shouldn’t have too long to wait for the new The Finals game mode to debut.

How to watch The Finals Attack and Defend game mode reveal

You can watch The Finals new Attack and Defend game mode reveal live at 8 AM PT/ 11 AM ET/ 4 PM BST on April 29th. It is able to be watched live on the game’s official YouTube channel:

Unfortunately, ahead of this reveal, we don’t know too much about the new mode other than its name and that it seemingly features eliminations according to a playtest. The description on YouTube says ‘Stay tuned to watch the world premiere of the new attack & defend gamemode coming this week!’.

Seeing as it’s ‘coming this week,’ the new game will presumably drop on May 1st as weekly updates typically land on Wednesday. However, this isn’t confirmed as of writing.

The addition of Attack and Defend will mean The Finals supports four game modes. Below are the game modes currently live:

  • Cashout:
    • Teams compete to collect the most cash within an 8-minute time limit.
  • Bank It:
    • Four teams of three compete to bank coins scattered throughout the arena in this casual-friendly, combat-focused game mode.
  • Powershift:
    • A casual 5v5 game mode where two teams compete to escort a platform through the arena.

In addition to all of the above, there’s also the occasional limited-time modes that come and go such as the recent celebration of chocolate eggs with the Easter festivity.

Along with being Attack and Defend with possibly eliminations, it also appears that the new game mode is 5v5. This isn’t official, but it seems to be the case judging by the intro added in update 2.4.0:
