Honkai Star Rail 1.5 pre installation is now live, allowing you to download files from the upcoming patch to play it quicker on release day. HSR 1.5 brings Argenti, Huohuo, a new area, new Light Cones, and a re-run for the character Silverwolf.
Pre-load is live for iOS, Andriod, and PC ahead of the official release on Wednesday. The update, called The Crepuscule Zone, will bring brand-new characters to the game along with a long-anticipated new world in the Simulated Universe.

Honkai Star Rail 1.5 pre-installation date and size
Honkai Star Rail 1.5 pre-installation starts November 13, and the size of the download is dependent on your chosen platform. HoYoverse confirmed the start of the pre-load in this blog post. Mobile devices are looking at around 8GB for iOS, iPad, and Android. Elsewhere, the update on PC is 11.85GB, but you will need 24.99GB to unzip the update. As ever, Honkai Star Rail pre-installation is not possible on PS5, so you will have to wait until the release to download the patch. It should be noted that if you have additional voices other than English downloaded, your pre-install will be bigger due to having more assets.
How to pre-install Honkai Star Rail updates
To pre-install Honkai Star Rail, all you need to do is select the option in the menu. If you’re on mobile, you can do this after launching the game. Once you press the screen, you will see an option in the bottom right of the screen that says ‘Resource Pre-Download’.
Tap on this and you will see another prompt telling you how much space is required for the download. Tap okay and let the download begin. You will not be able to keep playing while this happens on mobile devices.
If you do this on a PC, you will see the option to pre-install when you boot up the Honkai Star Rail launcher. Click on the option and the download will begin, making it easier for you to download the rest of the files when Honkai Star Rail 1.5 releases.
