Warner Bros has announced a release date for Hogwarts Legacy, the upcoming RPG set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

As per a tweet from the game’s official account, the game will launch on February 10, 2023. That’s for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC versions.

The game is also set to launch on the Nintendo Switch too. However, the team say they’ll announce the release date for that at a later time.

“The team is excited for you to play,” they said. “But we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience.”

Last month, it was thought the game might launch in December of this year. That was after that date was given to an official art book for the game. It now appears this won’t be the case.

Hogwarts Legacy was first announced back in September 2020, when it was expected to arrive in 2021. However, Warner Bros delayed the game into 2022 by January of 2021.

Ironically enough, there were worries the game would be delayed into 2023 in January after whispers of behind-the-scenes drama. However, WB insisted it’d make Holiday 2022 in a PlayStation State of Play broadcast.

Now Hogwarts Legacy won’t quite make that all-important Holiday window, but the February release date should catch the half-term rush.
