A new update has dropped for Hitman 3, bringing with it the promised new location of Ambrose Island.

The new map takes place between Hitman 2 and 3, and promises to wrap up a few loose story threads from both games. You’ll have two main targets in your sights: Noel Crest and Akka. The former is a former operative of Lucas Grey’s outfit who’s gone rogue. Leading a band of international thieves, he’s got some business with pirate leader Akka to take care of. And it’s not the cool eye-patch wearing kind of pirates either. You’ll have to put an end to their plans with the assistance of your handler Diana. Do what you do best, 47.

Naturally there’s a bunch of new lethal tools and outfits to play around with and earn to use in other levels by replaying the island. These include the Guerrilla Wetsuit, the Molotov Cocktail and a Kukri Machete. There’s also an emetic gas grenade with a poisonous frog inside, which sounds like a trap waiting to happen. The new level also supports all the stuff the others do, including VR on PlayStation and PC and Contracts Mode to make your own hits and challenge your pals.

The new map also brings with it the game’s latest patch. Changes include a preview for game settings and a tweak to the Elusive Target Arcade. This means you no longer need to own Hitman 1 or 2 to take on Elusive Targets from those games, and can now get them all just in Hitman 3. Lovely. These will appear in game starting from mid-August.
