It’s a big week for Helldivers 2. The release date for the next Warbond, Masters of Ceremony, is imminent, and fans are expecting something earth-shattering to happen within the incoming “singularity party”. Away from these upcoming occasions, the Arrowhead CEO has been answering more questions from the community. In reply to fans, the CEO has revealed that Helldivers 2 will “undoubtedly tweak how SC is earned,” and that Warbonds are “constantly under review” with tweaks possible.
Helldivers 2 will “tweak how SC is earned” with Warbonds “under review”
On the Helldivers Discord, a user complimented Arrowhead for making a game that doesn’t hide behind a big paywall. With this compliment, the user also asked Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, if there are “any plans, at least in Your mind, about changing how you [players] obtain SC [Super Credits]?”.
In response, Jorjani said, “We’ll undoubtedly tweak how SC is earned and figure out ways to make it better”. The CEO also said that Arrowhead will make changes “carefully,” and that they will “talk about it” with fans. There’s no elaboration from the CEO other than Arrowhead’s “intent was not that people should grind diff 1-3 for SC”.
Super Credits is the currency you can buy 1,000 for £7.99 from the PSN store, but they can also be earned in-game completely free. As for what Super Credits are used for, they are able to buy new Warbonds for 1,000 SC.
Asked if “there any plans on changing a Warbond price and/or making bigger Warbonds for more pages,” Jorjani responded, “Warbonds, as with all systems, are constantly under review and might get tweaked”.
Again, there’s no elaboration as to what tweaks could happen with future Warbonds such as either more content, a price decrease or price increase.
Right now, Arrowhead have “nothing firm to share,” but it’s at least good to know that these things are under review and that, for Super Credits, there are plans internally to make things “better” and less of a grind.
