The next Helldivers 2 Major Order is live and players need to kill a lot of Bile Titans, 5 million to be precise. This number is incredibly daunting as the Bile Titans are the toughest enemy in the game. However, some players believe there is a reason why this enemy has been chosen as the target for the current event.

A Helldivers 2 player took to the official sub-Reddit to share a theory as to why the current Major Order has tasked players with eliminating 5 million Bile Titans along with 750 million Terminids saying,
“The 5 million Bile Titan Order was created so Arrowhead can get data about the head glitch so they can figure out how to fix it.”
This would make sense and would be a great way for the developers to let the largely more experienced player base discover issues and how to fix them. Some players have theorized this is why the Samples Major Order was created so they could figure out how the duplication glitch was bypassing the anti-cheat.
U/Hypevosa suggested that Major Orders should be used to test out balance changes and get feedback from the community before making them permanent changes in Helldivers 2 saying,
“I’d love for this kind of thing to be how they test out weapon and stratagem changes too. A separate order that gives a stratagem of the changed weapon to do alongside the big MOs.”
They also gave an example of how this could be explained saying “We have a new manufacturer bidding for a contract to make our helldivers’ flame throwers. As such they’ve provided samples to the entire fleet for use on the front. Use this prototype flamethrower and leave feedback with your local requisitions officer.”
With so many recent nerfs receiving backlash from the community, it would be good if this was the direction that the developers decided to go in. But for now, all we can do is optimize our loadout to continue to spread managed democracy. To help with this, I highly recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide.
