Helldivers 2 Liberty Day is right around the corner. It is an annual holiday on Super Earth, and it is extremely important as it celebrates the day true freedom was realized. There is a lot of anticipation for what Arrowhead could be planning, and a Helldivers 2 leak has revealed the perfect gun for players craving melee weapons.
The release date for Liberty Day is October 26th, and Arrowhead has given players a “mandatory briefing” to watch before the occasion begins. In addition to the imminent arrival of LD, Arrowhead has also announced the release date for a new Warbond called Truth Enforcers.
While the new Warbond will arrive next week, tomorrow fans will be celebrating Liberty Day. Arrowhead hasn’t pulled the curtain aside on their plans as of writing, but a leak has revealed a new gun that could “potentially” be given to players.
Helldivers 2 leak reveals new weapon “potentially for Liberty Day”
On the HelldiversLeaks subreddit, Tier5NPC has shared leaks of new armor and a weapon that players “might get along your DSS upon completion (or more potentially for Liberty day)”.
Starting with the weapon, it is a R-2124 Constitution. Basicially, it is a “big bolt action Medium-Pen Marksman Rifle with a bayonet on it,” and it contains the following stats:
- DMG – 180
- Cap – 5
- Recoil – 43
- Fire Rate – 60
Its weapon traits include “rounds reload” and “medium armor penetrating”. What makes it especially good is that it doubles as a melee weapon as, upon running out of ammo, you will be able to use the bayonet knife at the front of the weapon to attack enemies.

As for the armor, it’s the previously leaked DP-00 armor from HD1. The Reddit post contains more images, and it also reveals the armor perk. It reportedly contains the Democracy Protects Perk which gives “50% chance to not die when taking lethal damage”. It also “Prevents all damage from bleeding if chest hemorrhages”.
Remember that this is only leaks rather than anything official. In addition, it’s also only suspected for Liberty Day rather than confirmed.
