Helldivers 2 fans are set for a busy few weeks. A new update is on the horizon, and, towards the end of October, we are celebrating Super Eath’s annual holiday, Liberty Day. The Helldivers 2 Liberty Day release date is getting closer, and there are some exciting leaks so far along with hopes from the community.
Arrowhead has confirmed that the next HD2 update is coming out tomorrow, and they have also revealed some of the changes that will be included along with buffs for the jump pack and purifier. In addition, it’s likely Arrowhead will fix a mission type that is confirmed to be bugged, and we know that automatons are about to get a lot stronger.
We will share the patch notes for tomorrow’s update as soon as they’re out, but right now we can discuss the Helldivers 2 Liberty Day release date and what looks to be arriving.
Helldivers 2 Liberty Day release date
The release date for Helldivers 2 Liberty Day is October 26th. As for why Arrowhead chose this date for Super Earth’s holiday, it’s because it is Pilestedt’s birthday according to Arrowhead support, B Vitamin, on Discord.
Aside from the date, Arrowhead hasn’t announced anything for the event other than a competition that is happening right now. Anyone can participate in this competition so long as you have a Discord profile.
HD2 Liberty Day leaks
While Arrowhead is remaining tight-lipped about what will unfold for the holiday, leaks have revealed we could be getting armor from HD1. This was shared onto Reddit by leaker AsunderKnight, and you can check out the datamined model in the embedded post below:
In addition to armor from HD1, it’s believed that we are getting the M2016 constitution rifle. There is hope that these will be given for free through a mini-warbond.
While HD1 armor and the constitution rifle is what has leaked so far, there is also hope that Liberty Day will bring the arrival of the Illuminate. This isn’t confirmed to be happening, nor has it been suggested by Arrowhead, but it’s a hope based off possible clues.
