A lot is incoming for Helldivers 2. We know the reveal date for the next Warbond, and HD2 fans are bracing themselves for the long-awaited update of which Arrowhead has teased a weapon buff while confirming more fixes. Now Arrowhead has announced an upcoming occasion, and Helldivers 2 players are suspicious of the date with a leaker even teasing “it’s going to be interesting”.
Helldivers 2 leaker teases date is “going to be interesting”
On the official Helldivers X account, Arrowhead has posted an invite to a “singularity party” happening on May 13th. The invite encourages those invited to “Spend some unforgettable moments at Free Springs Retreat, Widow’s Harbor and party in the light of Singularity”.
There will be “Drinks. Rations. Live Performances,” and “capacity is limited” with “Invites… delivered to select Class A citizens” only.
In response to this party flyer, Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, said, “I’ve been waiting for something to happen with Widows Harbor… Remember the date, everyone. This one is going to be interesting”.
Back on January 29th, Iron_S1ghts posted a picture of Widow’s Harbor with no further explanation. The only reply we got from the leaker was, “Mmm, yes, of course,” in response to a user commenting, “What a nice looking planet. I’m sure that Ironsights shared it because it is a nice planet and nothing bad will happen”.
Not only is Iron_S1ghts seemingly implying something ominous is about to happen, but on Reddit fans are suspicious of the date, too. A lot of players have suggested it feels like the infamous Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, of which everyone who read the show and watched the books knows was particularly memorable.
We will just have to wait and see what happens on May 13th. It’s possible this is when we could receive the next update and Warbond, and maybe it will also be when the Illuminate main fleet finally invade.
