Arrowhead has released the Helldivers 2 update 01.003.104 patch notes, and this hotfix has delivered significant nerfs to the Leviathan as promised. While this update is fantastic, it might not be all that we get from Arrowhead this week as a Helldivers 2 leak has just revealed a stunning new cape that is presumably the free reward fans have been craving for over a year.
Helldivers 2 leak shows new cape
Prominent Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has shared a new cape on X called Pillars of Freedom. It has the following description:
“Woven in honour of our loyal helldivers, whose heart’s blood is the foundation on which Super Earth is built”.
The cape looks beautiful with its slick red stripes against the dark primary color. Although not confirmed or explicitly stated by Iron_S1ghts, this cape is more than likely the free review bomb cape that was promised over a year ago back at the end of May 2024. Arrowhead recently teased that the cape is “cooking,” and now would be the perfect time for it to come out seeing as PlayStation recently removed regional restrictions for HD2 on PC.
In addition to the cape, Iron_S1ghts’ image appears to show obstructed new armor. This isn’t confirmed, nor is it announced that we are getting anything more than a cape for the review bombing debacle that happened because of Sony’s plans for PC players requiring a PSN account.
Remember that this is only a leak rather than anything official. There’s also no ETA for when the review bomb cape will come out, but hopefully it arrives on Thursday, which is typically when Warbonds release.
