The Illuminate have dominated the headlines for a lot of Helldivers 2 players, and the army of squids is set to get even stronger in the future with additions such as a “sniper and close-range assassin,” as well as the returning Illusionist and more. While the Illuminate will grow and strengthen their army, players mustn’t forget about bugs and Automatons. Arrowhead has plans to introduce players to New Cyberstan, and a Helldivers 2 leak has shown the treacherous new Automaton homeworld that is guarded by “a lot” of killer lightning.
Helldivers 2 leak shows new Automaton homeworld
Prominent Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has shared images of New Cyberstan. It’s important to note that the planet is a work-in-progress as “there’s still a lot to be done with it,” meaning fans shouldn’t expect it anytime soon.
Per the leaker, it shows “what Cyberstan becomes once it is terraformed by the bots,” and it “will look more complete once bot cities are properly added”. The leaker’s theory is that “Bot cities will probably be SE megacities with unique props,” but “cities on Cyberstan may be different since it is classified as a homeworld”.
The planet looks unnerving with its dark tones and foreboding weather. Instantly, the most striking visual is all the lightning raining down above a hub. Iron_S1ghts has said there is “a LOT of lightning” on the planet, but right now it doesn’t actually strike anything, although plans can change.
Lastly, in response to a user saying, “This is just Draupnir,” Iron_S1ghts said, “Yeah, the biome settings on it right now are very similar to Acamar IV”. And, in response to a user saying they expected more metal, the leaker explained “The bot cities will likely fill that gap in”.

Remember that this is only a leak rather than anything official. While this could be the current look for New Cyberstan, the final product may look completely different as it is in development and Arrowhead “recently changed the weather on it”.
