Helldivers 2 leak claims “playtesting on bot cities has begun” as players prepare to ravage the Automaton homeworld 

While most eyes have been on the Illuminate, the Automatons have just gotten stronger as Hulks fly now. Players have come across Hulks soaring all over the map, in what is quite possibly the most terrifying sight to witness on the battlefield. The addition of jetpack Hulks is massive, and there are more plans for Automatons as a Helldivers 2 leak claims “playtesting on bot cities has recently begun” as Arrowhead continue developing the new Automaton homeworld.

Helldivers 2 leak claims “playtesting on bot cities has begun”

According to prominent Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, on their Astral Rift Discord, “Playtesting on bot cities has just recently begun”. According to the leaker, “It is now something that is actively being worked on, rather than in the background”

This comes in wake of Iron_S1ghts recently sharing Arrowhead’s work-in-progress for the new Automaton homeworld, New Cyberstan. The leaker shared that New Cyberstan has “a lot” of lightning, and, while images looked very similar to Acamar IV, Iron_S1ghts said it “will look more complete once bot cities are properly added”.

Regarding bot cities, the leaker’s theory is that “Bot cities will probably be SE megacities with unique props,” but “cities on Cyberstan may be different since it is classified as a homeworld”.

Seeing as playtesting on bot cities has allegedly just begun, Iron_Sights has warned that fans should not expect them anytime soon. As for how they know playtesting has started, the leaker said, “There are subtle updates they [Arrowhead] make so you can tell what is being worked on. Bot cities in… Liberty Ridge specifically”.

Lastly, on X, Iron_S1ghts reintroduced a previous objective leak. The objective is “Destroy Automaton Capital Ship,” and Iron_S1ghts said, “This old leaked objective may be returning as the automaton alternative to the illuminate ‘Overship’ objective. Instructing us to shoot down an Automaton Capital Ship”.

While there is the possibility this objective might be “scrapped content” due to it being “really old,” it could possibly be planned for the future as “it’s still in the files” while other previously leaked objectives were removed. Lastly, in response to a user on X, Iron_S1ghts said they hope it will be added when bot cities arrive.

Remember that these are only leaks rather than anything official. There’s also no timeframe for when bot cities could possibly arrive, but it’s something to anticipate.
