The Helldivers 2 Galactic War is in full swing, with players collectively working together to liberate planets of the Terminid, and so far it has been working. But, yesterday’s Helldivers 2 update patch 1.000.103 seems to have fixed many issues present in the game, such as the issue causing players to blow up their own exosuits. With all of these changes fixed, it seems to have broken many more parts of the game.

Arrowhead Game Studios took to the official Helldivers 2 Discord server to make the announcement that the Galactic War tracking system wasn’t working and that the team were prioritising its fix.

“We’re aware of an issue with the Galactic War not tracking your effective spread of Liberty properly. We are investigating this urgently and will keep you posted as soon as we understand the issue and have a fix to communicate to you. Thanks very much for your patience while we squash some software bugs.”

This was followed up with another post just over 30 minutes later acknowledging that the recent 1.000.103 update has caused a lot more issues to develop in the game, so if you’ve experienced any then you can let them know on Discord so the team can fix it.

“We know that many of you are experiencing a lot of crashes at the moment. Our team is deep down in the trenches digging into the issue as we speak. We are on alert ready to update on any changes here.”

Following the completion of the Terminid Control System Major Order community event, players have been tasked with the next Major Order to liberate more planets of the Terminid and it is already being done at a record pace. It took players mere hours to fully liberate the first planet and move onto the next, making light work of the time limit set for the event. Helldivers 2 recently crossed the eight million sales milestone, completely defying all expectations the game had, making it a breakout smash-hit of the year alongside Palworld. With so many players jumping in to fight the Terminid each day and new players joining constantly, Helldivers 2 is still enjoying player counts of over 200,000 concurrent players on Steam and it shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.

With the Helldivers 2 Galactic War progress currently bugged, it is difficult to see just how much progress is being made, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t keep fighting to protect Super-Earth.
