There are a lot of dream crossovers for Helldivers 2. At the end of 2024 we were blessed with a Killzone collaboration that Arrowhead intend to “reprise”, and just recently we’ve had a crossover with Microsoft’s flagship IP, Halo. Fans have suggested a bunch of IPs for Arrowhead to collaborate with, and the studio’s CEO has given the first hint that a Helldivers 2 Fortnite crossover could actually happen “one day”.
Helldivers 2 Fortnite crossover could happen
On the Helldivers Discord, Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, was asked if HD2 will ever collaborate with Fortnite. While Jorjani stressed that such a crossover is “Not a priority” right now, it could maybe happen “one day” because “FN is cool” and “quite big”.
This isn’t confirmation that a crossover with Epic Games will happen, but, at the very least, it leaves the door ajar to the possibility. Previously, Arrowhead have said they “don’t want to be Fortnite” bringing in IPs that don’t aesthetically fit the universe of HD2, so, if a crossover were to happen, it would be one-way with Helldivers brought into the world of Fortnite.
If Epic Games were to partner with Arrowhead, it would be fantastic to see helldivers armor join the battle royale. Now would’ve actually been the perfect time for such a crossover as the new Fortnite season screams Helldivers, with even Arrowhead personnel admitting it feels very “we have Helldivers at home”.
As for crossovers to join HD2, Jorjani has previously told EA to “get in touch” over Dead Space, meanwhile, Crysis has been given the hypothetical thumbs up, too. There has also been approval of Warhammer 40k, with even a Warhammer weapon seemingly leaked but still not come to fruition.
Thanks to Halo, we know crossover Warbonds will cost 1,500 SC compared to regular bundles priced at 1,000 SC. This is because of all the extra work involved in collaborations such as having to work with the license holder.
