Arrowhead Game Studios used to frequently release updates for Helldivers 2, often in a reactionary manner. This led to a lot of backlash from the community due to most weapons in the game being nerfed to the point that they weren’t viable as the developers didn’t want to have any overpowered guns.

Eventually, the developers pulled back on the frequency of updates to ensure that all future patches and Warbonds are high quality, and so far it seems to be the correct choice. It has been a while since the last update, but we’ve just gotten a first look at what to expect and it should be worth the wait.

The Helldivers 2 Community Manager, Twinbeard, recently took to Discord to post a teaser for what to expect from the next update. Using the excited Vince McMahon meme image, Twinbeard revealed that we can expect to see the following updates made to the game:

  • Patrol and spawn rates reverted.
  • Visible supply lines and attack origins.
  • Invite-only lobbies.
  • Super Samples in level 6 missions.
  • Unlimited Grenade fix.
  • Over 100 fixes.

This is great news as many of these issues were plaguing the game, such as the spawn and patrol changes making even the game punishingly difficult. There is no information regarding weapon buffs but hopefully they will be included in the 100 other fixes.

This news comes a day after the next Premium Warbond was announced titled Viper Commandos. The new Warbond takes players to the jungle and includes vehicle skins for the first time. As with any Warbond, it has the opportunity to shake up the meta, so to keep up to date we highly recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide to ensure you are in the best position to serve Liber-tea to the Automatons and Terminids.
