A new leak for the long-awaited Helldivers 2 Clans system has revealed numerous aspects of the upcoming feature. As the alleged culmination of the in-construction Democracy Space Station, players will soon be able to create a clan and fight together to earn repuation for themselves as well as fighting for Super Earth.
Helldivers 2 Clan details
Leaked alongside details surrounding the new Destiny-like addition of the Hellbot, renowned leaker IronS1ghts revealed new information for the upcoming Clans feature. Details pulled from datamines of the latest Helldivers 2 update reveals that the new feature is more substantial than many expected.
Alongside being able to form and join a Clan, the new feature will allow leaders to construct events for members to take on specific tasks and write their own announcements to followers. The system also has support for individual Clan Chat Rooms, allowing members to talk to each other.
While not a listed feature, there may also be the opportunity to join multiple clans in the name of Super Earth. According to the leaks, multiple clans per player is supported by the feature, but it may not occur on launch.
By far the best part of the Clan system is the addition of a Clan Flag feature. Details are sparse, but the feature will reportedly allow players to create their own flag for their clan. How the flags is not know, or their use, but being able to wear Clan Flags as capes, or even plant them in missions, would be a great addition.
A great move forward
Following some rough months for the game, Helldivers 2 is in a much better place. Player counts are up following the release of Chemical Agents, and a new swathe of buffs has arrived for the game’s best weapons and stratagems.
The long-awaited arrival of the Clans system is a really exciting step forward for Arrowhead’s multiplayer phenomenon. With player counts rising and brilliant Major Orders taking place, such as the awesome Battle of Claorell, the game is better than ever, and it finally has some real momentum behind it’s post-launch plans.
