Despite no official word or tease from Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto fans are hysteric because they believe big news is racing around the corner. We haven’t received a new installment in the Grand Theft Auto saga ever since the numerically fifth entry came out back in September 2013, but GTA 6 is in development. There is no official announcement for when it will arrive, yet fans are convinced that the GTA 6 reveal trailer is coming out before the end of October.

We haven’t received any official news about GTA 6 from Rockstar Games in over a year. However, there was a significantly unfair leak for Rockstar and gamers involving a hacker sharing in-development footage of gameplay. This footage provided a look at some of the locations in the open world, as well as a glance at the main characters we may control. There hasn’t been any leaked gameplay since, but there have been implications the game will be out by March 2025.

It seems we still have a very long wait for the game to finally launch, but here’s hoping the suspected reveal is indeed right around the corner.

GTA 6 fans believe reveal trailer is coming out

Grand Theft Auto fans are convinced that a GTA 6 reveal trailer is coming out before the end of October. Most theories point to October 24th and October 26th, but the main point is that a trailer or even just a logo reveal is expected to happen before the arrival of November. Rockstar Games have not officially announced or teased anything, but fans believe it is bound to happen because of history.

The main theory behind why fans believe a reveal is happening on October 24th is because Rockstar has historically announced their games on Tuesday in October. This was spread by the Twitter account GTAVINewz. This account correctly pointed out that Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016, and that GTA 5 was first announced on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011.

In addition, over on Reddit, users have commented that Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced a couple of weeks before Rockstar’s Q2 earnings call in November 2016. The same happened with GTA 5 before Rockstar’s earnings call in November 2011, too. Now we know a Take-Two Interactive conference call is set for November 8th, 2023, so this has further pushed fans to believe a GTA 6 reveal is happening.

Another coincidence is the announcements coming two years before release. If GTA 6 does come out in 2025, then an announcement surely happens this year judging by history. GTA 5 was announced in 2011 and came out in 2013, meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in 2016 and launched in 2018. Looking at these coincidences, you can see why fans are expecting something that hasn’t been teased at all. Finally, in a fresh development, cosplay of the leaked GTA 6 protagonists has also been seen at the Brazil Game Show.

Again, Rockstar Games hasn’t hinted at any announcement. The last they publicly spoke of GTA 6 was back in February 2022 to confirm ‘development for the next series is underway‘. We hope a reveal trailer, logo, or anything else happens, but everyone should be implored to keep expectations low. Nothing has been officially promised, and Grand Theft Auto fans have been tortured for years with fake leaks. In the meantime, the only official news we have is Take-Two’s CEO saying GTA 6 ‘needs to be something you’ve never seen before‘.
