Codemasters and EA have revealed a February 25, 2022 release date alongside new gameplay details for upcoming racer GRID Legends.

We’re promised the “biggest variety of game modes” in a GRID game yet. That includes a massive Career mode with over 250 events, the return of Drift and Elimination and the all-new Electric Boost racing. That’s on top of the previously-revealed ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode with live-action cutscene drama.

There’ll also be a new Race Creator in GRID Legends, that will allow players to host their dream races. You’ll be able to mix and match different vehicle types, change the weather and even add ramps and boost gates. The game’s multiplayer will also support cross-platform gameplay, that’ll also inform you when friends are online. The team promise you can be with your friends and racing in GRID Legends with just three button presses. Speedy!

We can expect a whopping 100+ cars in the game at launch. They’re split up into many classes, including Touring, Drift, Trucks, Specials, Electric, Open Wheel, Tuner, Track Day and GT. You can check out a list of confirmed cars so far over on the game’s official website. More of them will be revealed in the run-up to launch. There’ll also be more cars as post-launch content, to be revealed following GRID Legends launch in February.
