Codemasters has revealed the next title in the GRID racing series, with GRID Legends set for release on Xbox & PlayStation consoles and PC in 2022.

It looks like this latest instalment will be heavily focused around its story mode, set around of the return of the GRID World Series being captured by a fly-on-the-wall documentary series. Players will encounter “fierce personalities internal politics” and the return of the infamous Ravenwest Motorsport team. The story mode will be interspersed with cutscenes that combine live action and a virtual world, with the cast including BAFTA nominated star of Netflix’s Sex Education, Ncuti Gatwa.

The rest of the game will include over 130 routes on tracks such as Brands Hatch and Indianapolis, and the return of classic GRID circuits such as San Francisco and Paris. Of course, there’ll also be new courses set in new locations, London and Moscow. We’re promised over 100 vehicles to choose from including classic touring cars, big rigs, single-seaters and even stadium trucks. The game will also feature a race creator to take mixed-class vehicles and battle across all circuits with friends and online.
